Andorra has no airport and no railway, so almost every skier lands at Barcelona-El Prat and drives north: around 200 km and about 2 h 50 through the Pyrenees, traffic and weather permitting — an estimate, not a guarantee. Andorra la Vella is the first stop; the Grandvalira Resorts areas are a little further up their valleys, so each has its own fixed price. The figures below are the real Economy fares from our booking system for a standard weekday — enter your date and hotel to see the exact one.

Measured on the real road network on 12 September 2026, taking the Spanish approach — the C-16 and the Cadí Tunnel, or the C-14 — which is the side we use in winter. Times are without traffic and are estimates, never a guarantee: snow on the Cadí can add 30–45 minutes.

The fixed price covers the transfer, the tolls and your standard luggage. Special equipment and child seats are charged on top, and these are the exact amounts — per item and per trip, so you can add them up before you book rather than discover them on the day.

How long does the transfer from Barcelona Airport to Andorra take?

Around 200 km and about 2 h 50 door to door, climbing via the C-16 and the Cadí Tunnel or the C-14 at the driver’s discretion. That is an estimate without traffic, not a guarantee: weather, traffic and a possible border check can add to it. The fixed price from €299 covers the whole journey to Andorra la Vella, tolls included. Soldeu is 219 km and about 3 h 14, Pas de la Casa 228 km and about 3 h 24, Arinsal 210 km and about 3 h 03, each with its own fixed price.

What does the price include?

Tolls, standard luggage, meet and greet with a name sign at arrivals, VAT, 60 min free waiting at the airport and flight tracking. Special equipment and child seats are extras with a published price — ski or snowboard equipment €15 per set per passenger, boxed bike €15, golf clubs €12, extra suitcase €6, child seat €7, small booster €5, large booster €4, folding pushchair and walking frame free. Everything is added before you pay, so the amount you confirm is the final one: no meter and no supplements on the day, whichever route the driver takes.

How much does it cost to bring skis or a snowboard?

Skis and boards travel as special equipment: €15 per set per passenger, with a limit per vehicle — one set in a saloon, two or three in a minivan, four or more in a van. They are not included in the fixed transfer price. Tell us how many sets you are carrying when you book: if they do not fit, we quote the larger vehicle before you pay, never after.

Can you take skis, snowboards and boot bags?

Yes. Tell us at booking so we assign a vehicle with genuine cargo space — a minivan or van rather than a saloon — for skis, boards, boots and helmets. Each set is €15 per passenger and there is a physical limit per vehicle: one set in a saloon, two or three in a minivan, four or more in a van. The vehicle table above shows the real seat and bag capacity of each category.

Do child seats cost extra?

Yes, and these are the exact amounts, per seat and per trip on top of the fixed transfer price: child seat for 9–18 kg (roughly 9 months to 4 years) €7, small booster for 15–25 kg (roughly 4 to 7 years) €5, large booster for 22–36 kg (roughly 7 to 12 years) €4. A folding pushchair travels free. Tell us the number and ages of the children when you book and we confirm the total, seats included.

Should I book the return trip too?

Yes, and early: hotel check-out times cluster in the same morning window and cars sell out on changeover Saturdays. Leaving Andorra on a Saturday, the exit bottlenecks mid-morning — leave before 9:00 or after 14:00 if you can. For a European flight out of Barcelona we recommend leaving at least 5 hours before departure, since mountain weather and a possible border check can add 30–45 minutes.

Pas de la Casa or Soldeu — does it change the transfer?

Both are Grandvalira, on the same CG-2 valley road beyond Andorra la Vella. Soldeu and El Tarter come first; Pas de la Casa sits at the far eastern end, at the French border beyond the Envalira pass, so it is the longest run and has its own fixed price. What if it snows on the mountain road?

Our drivers monitor conditions and choose the best route on the day — the C-16 and the Cadí Tunnel, or the C-14. For mountain routes we assign a vehicle that is ready for them: our fleet meets the mandatory winter equipment rules and, when conditions call for it, the assigned vehicle goes up with chains on board. In heavy snow, build in 30–45 extra minutes over the usual journey time; the fixed price does not change with the route.

Do the mountain roads close? Which side is more reliable?

The closures reported in 2026 were on the French approach, not the Spanish one: the RN-20 into Pas de la Casa was shut from 31 January to 9 March 2026, and the Envalira pass closed under its strictest snow phase on 29–30 March 2026. Coming up from Barcelona you use the Spanish side — the C-16 and the Cadí Tunnel, or the C-14 — which is one reason many skiers fly into Barcelona rather than Toulouse. Andorra requires winter equipment on its entire network from 1 November to 15 May, and applies phased speed limits as snow builds up; in Spain the same obligation is triggered by the R-412 sign on the stretch itself, where only 3PMSF tyres or chains count.

Do I need my passport?

Yes. Andorra is not in the EU, so border checks do happen, more often leaving Andorra than entering. Keep your passport or national ID card accessible and declare any purchases above the duty-free allowance on the way back.

My flight lands late at night — do you still operate?

Yes, 24/7. The driver tracks your flight, waits at arrivals with a name sign and you have 60 minutes of free waiting from the actual landing time. Give us the flight number when you book.

Is the direct bus cheaper?

For a solo traveller with hand luggage, yes. The coach runs to a fixed timetable and ends at Andorra la Vella bus station, so from a resort like Soldeu or Pas de la Casa you still need a taxi or local bus with your skis. A private transfer goes airport door to hotel door, and one minivan shared by a group usually comes close to the coach per person.
