Barcelona Airport Terminal Guide — Where to Find Your Driver
El Prat (BCN) has two terminals — T1, and T2 split into three sub-terminals (T2A/T2B/T2C). Here is exactly where the arrivals hall is, how long the walk takes, and where your driver waits with a name sign in each one.

You don't need to look for anything special. After baggage claim and customs, follow the exit signs out of the secure area into the public arrivals hall of your terminal (Level 0). Terminal 1: one single arrivals hall
T1 is the newer, larger terminal, used mainly by Iberia, Vueling and most long-haul and legacy airlines. Unlike T2, it has just one arrivals hall, so there is no risk of coming out through the wrong door.
- 1.After landing, follow signs to baggage claim. If you flew Iberia from Madrid, your bags are usually on carousel 00; every other flight uses the general baggage hall.
- 2.Clear customs if you arrived from outside the Schengen area, then walk through the doors into the public arrivals hall on Level 0 — locally nicknamed "La Plaza". This is also where the Aerobús stop, taxi rank, Metro L9 Sud access and car rental desks are.
- 3.Your QuickPickups driver waits inside this hall with your name on a sign. If it's busy, call or message the phone number we send you before landing.
Typical walk time from gate to arrivals hall: 10–20 minutes, depending on your gate and whether you check hold luggage.
Terminal 2: three arrivals halls (T2A / T2B / T2C)
T2 is the older terminal, split into three separate buildings — each with its own arrivals hall on Level 0, connected by covered walkways. Which one you land in depends on your airline and route, not on your choice:
T2A
Non-Schengen arrivals (outside the EU/Schengen area), except easyJet flights.
T2B
Schengen arrivals (most of Europe), except easyJet — the busiest of the three, used by Ryanair among others.
T2C
All easyJet arrivals land here, regardless of origin.
- 1.Collect your bags and clear customs (T2A/T2B/T2C each have their own customs area).
- 2.Walk out into your building's public arrivals hall. T2A, T2B and T2C are separate buildings — once you are past security and in the public arrivals area, they are not connected through an indoor hall. Moving between them means walking outside along a covered public walkway: budget about 2 minutes between T2A and T2B, and about 5 minutes between T2B and T2C.
- 3.Your driver waits in the arrivals hall matching your flight's sub-terminal, with your name on a sign — again, this is resolved from your flight number, not something you need to arrange.
Landmark for orientation: T2B is the building closest to the Aeroport T2 train and metro station, reached by a short covered walkway from its arrivals hall; T2C sits further along, with its own Aerobús stop directly outside. If you are meeting someone (or your driver is told the wrong sub-terminal), this is the distance you are looking at — not a quick step next door.
A free inter-terminal shuttle bus connects T1 and T2 (roughly every few minutes, journey plus waiting around 10–20 minutes) — useful if you need to move between them for any reason, but not needed for your pickup: our driver always meets you at the terminal you actually land at.

- Which terminal does my flight use at Barcelona Airport?
- Check your boarding pass or airline confirmation — it always states T1 or T2. As a rule of thumb, Vueling, Iberia and most long-haul and legacy carriers use T1; easyJet uses T2C; Ryanair and most other low-cost carriers use T2B. Always confirm with your airline, as assignments can change.
- I don't know my terminal when booking — what happens?

- Do I need to walk between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2?
- No, as long as your pickup is booked for the terminal you actually land at — our driver comes to you. The free inter-terminal shuttle bus only matters if you're connecting between T1 and T2 for another reason (e.g. a connecting flight or picking up someone from the other terminal).
- How long does it take to reach the arrivals hall after landing?
- It varies by gate and whether you're checked in for hold luggage, but budget 15–25 minutes from touchdown to walking out into the public arrivals hall — a bit longer in T2 if you land at a remote gate needing a bus to the terminal.
- What if my flight is delayed?

- How will I recognise my driver?
- Your driver waits in the public arrivals hall of your terminal holding a sign with your name, and you get their name and phone number by message before you land — so you can call or message directly if you cannot see them.
- How far apart are T2A, T2B and T2C?
- They are separate buildings, not connected through the public arrivals halls — you walk outside along a covered public walkway to move between them. Budget about 2 minutes between T2A and T2B, and about 5 minutes between T2B and T2C. If you're meeting someone who lands in a different T2 building, this is a real walk, not a quick step next door.
