Which is better for you?
If you value an international brand with a cash option, a 10-language website and cancellation up to 5 hours before, Kiwitaxi is a serious option. If you prefer to book the local operator directly — guaranteed, fitted child seats, the exact door of your cruise terminal, WhatsApp with the person assigning your driver and a fixed price with every fee included — that is exactly QuickPickups. The most repeated complaints about brokers (no-show drivers, last-minute cancellations, a different vehicle than booked) are the structural risk of booking through an intermediary: here there is no intermediary.
Frequently asked questions
- Is QuickPickups an alternative to Kiwitaxi in Barcelona?
- Yes, with one fundamental difference: Kiwitaxi is an international intermediary coordinating with local carriers, while QuickPickups is the local Barcelona operator — the person answering your WhatsApp is the one assigning your driver.
- Does Kiwitaxi drive its own transfers?
- No. Its own terms (kiwitaxi.com, verified August 2026) state the company does not carry out transportation and does not act as a carrier: it coordinates between the client and a local "Carrier", who bears responsibility for the service. QuickPickups is directly that local operator in Barcelona.
- Are child seats free?
- With neither. With QuickPickups a seat or booster is added on request for a small supplement, fitted and checked by the driver and guaranteed if requested at booking. With Kiwitaxi, child seats are charged extra according to their own help page (verified August 2026).
- Which is cheaper from Barcelona airport to the city centre?
- On our verification date (31 August 2026) Kiwitaxi's Comfort class showed "from $109" for airport-city, with the final price depending on the booking. QuickPickups publishes a fixed price with VAT, tolls and fees included — compare it live above for your exact date.
