Two one-way transfers
Book the climb now and the descent as a second transfer, at the time you choose. The driver collects you on the esplanade with 15 minutes of free waiting from the agreed time, and the drop-off can be the airport, Sants or your hotel — each has its own fixed price.
The driver waits and brings you back
For a flexible day trip, the same driver can wait on the mountain while you visit and drive you back at your own pace. This is priced as a quote based on how long you want up there — write to us on WhatsApp with your date, group size and rough timing and we confirm the total before you pay anything.
Chauffeur by the hour
If Montserrat is one stop in a longer day — a winery, Manresa, a second village — the hourly chauffeur service keeps the car and driver with you for a block of hours, with the stops decided on the go.

Best times to go, luggage and the mountain road
Go early or late
The esplanade is at its calmest first thing in the morning and again late in the afternoon, once the coach excursions have left. If hearing the boys’ choir (the escolania) matters to you, check its schedule on the official Montserrat website before fixing the pickup time — we handle only the transfer.
Standard luggage is included
Coming straight from a flight with suitcases is exactly what this transfer is for: the suitcases you declare when booking travel in the boot at no extra cost. Special luggage has a published rate, added before you pay: ski or snowboard equipment €15 per set per passenger, a boxed bike €15, golf clubs €12 and €6 for each extra suitcase. If you book the driver to wait, your bags stay locked in the vehicle while you visit, so you do not carry them around the sanctuary.

The final climb is a real mountain road with bends and, in winter, occasional weather closures. Our drivers know it well, but for a flight the same day or a timed visit we build in margin rather than cut it fine.
Families, groups and pilgrims
One vehicle for the whole group
For 5 or more passengers, book a minivan or van so nobody splits into two cars. Cultural groups, parishes and pilgrim groups bigger than our largest vehicle: message us on WhatsApp and we quote you a minibus with a single invoice.
Child seats on request
Child and booster seats are available on request for a supplement from €4 on top of the fixed price — they are not included by default. Tell us the ages when you book and the driver brings the right ones, fitted before departure.
Esplanade, not a car park below
We take you to the monastery esplanade itself, as far as road access allows on the day, and collect you there for the return — from the airport without going through the city centre first.

- Can the driver wait at Montserrat and bring us back down?
- Yes, on request. We never publish a round-trip price we cannot stand behind.
- Can I book the return as a separate transfer instead?
- Yes, and it is often the simplest option. Book the descent as a second one-way transfer for the time you choose; the driver waits on the esplanade with 15 minutes free from the agreed time and takes you to the airport, Sants or your hotel. Our drivers work 24/7, so an early flight the next morning is covered too.
- Is there a train from Barcelona Airport to Montserrat?
- Not a direct one. The public route means reaching Barcelona first, going to Plaça Espanya, taking the FGC R5 to Monistrol de Montserrat and there changing to the rack railway (cremallera) or the cable car, with your luggage at every change. Check the operators for timetables and fares; the private transfer goes door to esplanade in one vehicle.
- Where exactly do you drop us off?
- On the monastery esplanade, as close as road access allows on the day, so you walk straight to the basilica and the viewpoints. For the return we collect you at the same point, or at your accommodation on the mountain if you are staying overnight.
- We fly out early the morning after Montserrat — is that workable?
- Yes. For 6:00–8:00 departures we set the pickup roughly 3 hours before take-off because of the distance and the mountain descent. The first morning rack railway may not get you to the airport in time for an early flight, which is exactly why the direct transfer is the reliable choice.
- When is the best time to visit Montserrat?
- Early morning and late afternoon are the calmest moments on the esplanade; weekends and public holidays are busiest. Opening times of the basilica, museum and the escolania’s singing schedule change through the year, so check the official Montserrat calendar for your date and we time the pickup around it.
- Do child seats cost extra?
- Child and booster seats are available on request for a supplement from €4 on top of the fixed transfer price — they are not included by default. Tell us the number and ages of the children when you book and we confirm the total, seats included.
- Can you take a group of 10 or more?
- Yes. Smaller groups travel together in a minivan or van (real seats and bags are shown in the booking form); for groups bigger than our largest vehicle we arrange a minibus with driver on request, with one invoice for the group, parish or company. Tell us the head count and luggage on WhatsApp and we quote you.
- Can I cancel my booking?
- Yes. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance are completely free. You can manage it from the confirmation email or by writing to [email protected].
