About this route
Mataró, capital of the Maresme, lies about 42 km from Barcelona Airport: 35–45 minutes via the ring roads and the C-32. A seafaring and textile city with a historic core, a marina and urban beaches, it is also the gateway to the whole Maresme coast and its string of seaside towns.
Why book with QuickPickups?
The airport and the Maresme sit at opposite ends of the metropolitan area: by public transport you cross Barcelona and switch to commuter rail, easily 90 minutes. The direct transfer halves that, meeting you in arrivals and dropping you at your home, hotel or the marina, at a fixed price.
When to choose this route?
Family visits across the county, business trips to local industry and the TecnoCampus, sailing crews heading for Mataró’s marina, and summer residents with apartments along the Maresme coast.
Practical tips
If your destination is another Maresme town — Argentona, Cabrera, Sant Andreu de Llavaneres — request the quote for that exact point: the difference is small and you skip a second ride. On summer Sunday evenings the C-32 towards Barcelona runs heavy; arrivals are unaffected.

Frequently asked questions
- Barcelona Airport to Mataró: how long is the journey and how many kilometres?
- The trip is about 42 km and 35–45 minutes door to door, depending on traffic. The fixed price from €124 covers the whole route — no meter, no surprises.
- Is the price fixed or can it change?
- The price is completely fixed from €124. No meter and no hidden tolls, and the standard luggage you declare when booking is included. Special luggage (skis or a board, a bike, golf clubs or suitcases beyond those declared) has its own published rate on our extras page and is added before you pay. What you see when booking is what you pay.
- What happens if my flight is delayed?
- We track your flight in real time through the flight number you provide at booking. If there’s a delay, your driver proposes a new pickup time at no extra cost and we email it to you. You also get 60 minutes of free waiting after landing.
- How many passengers and bags fit?
- It depends on the category you choose. From the Economy with 4 seats to the Van XXL with 14 seats and 14 bags. Enter passengers and bags when booking: the search only shows you the vehicles where everything fits, with real seat and luggage figures. If your group is bigger than our largest vehicle, message us on WhatsApp and we quote you.
- Can I cancel my booking?
- Yes. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance are completely free. You can manage it from the confirmation email or by writing to [email protected].
- Is there a direct train from Barcelona Airport to Mataró?
- No single train covers the whole trip. The airport's rail station, at Terminal 2, is served only by the Rodalies R2 Nord, while Mataró sits on the coastal R1. The usual link is a change at El Clot-Aragó, where both lines stop. Add the free shuttle bus if you land at T1, and check the current timetable, especially for late-evening arrivals.
- I'm staying in Mataró's old centre — can the car reach my door?
- Possibly not. Central Mataró is a pedestrian zone where number-plate cameras control vehicle entry through points such as Carrer d'Argentona and Muralla del Tigre; outside set hours, and all day on Sundays and holidays, only authorised vehicles may go in. Give us your exact address and we'll agree the closest permitted drop-off, which may mean a short walk with your bags.
