About this route
Badalona, the metropolitan area’s third city, is about 25 km from Barcelona Airport at the opposite end of town: 25–35 minutes via the ring roads. It offers nearly five kilometres of beach with a seafront promenade, the iconic Pont del Petroli pier and a fiercely distinct identity — with Penya basketball as the local religion.
Why book with QuickPickups?
Being on the north side, the public route from El Prat crosses all of Barcelona: metro plus commuter rail, or two changes — a good hour in the best case. The transfer along the Ronda Litoral is direct, and the driver knows whether the B-10 or C-31 works better at that moment, at a fixed price.
When to choose this route?
Family visits — Badalona is residential rather than touristy, and you can tell by who travels —, fans coming in for games at the Olímpic arena, work stays at the southern industrial estates, and holidaymakers passing through towards the Maresme.
Practical tips
Name the neighbourhood: access differs a lot between Canyadó, the centre and La Salut. On match days the area around the Palau Olímpic saturates an hour before tip-off; if you are coming for the basketball, tell us and we adjust. Groups: a larger minivan.

Frequently asked questions
- Barcelona Airport to Badalona: how long is the journey and how many kilometres?
- The trip is about 25 km and 25–35 minutes door to door, depending on traffic. The fixed price from €67 covers the whole route — no meter, no surprises.
- Is the price fixed or can it change?
- The price is completely fixed from €67. No meter and no hidden tolls, and the standard luggage you declare when booking is included. Special luggage (skis or a board, a bike, golf clubs or suitcases beyond those declared) has its own published rate on our extras page and is added before you pay. What you see when booking is what you pay.
- What happens if my flight is delayed?
- We track your flight in real time through the flight number you provide at booking. If there’s a delay, your driver proposes a new pickup time at no extra cost and we email it to you. You also get 60 minutes of free waiting after landing.
- How many passengers and bags fit?
- It depends on the category you choose. From the Economy with 4 seats to the Van XXL with 14 seats and 14 bags. Enter passengers and bags when booking: the search only shows you the vehicles where everything fits, with real seat and luggage figures. If your group is bigger than our largest vehicle, message us on WhatsApp and we quote you.
- Can I cancel my booking?
- Yes. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance are completely free. You can manage it from the confirmation email or by writing to [email protected].
- What's the quickest public-transport route from El Prat to Badalona?
- There's no direct line. From the Terminal 2 station, take the Rodalies R2 Nord to El Clot-Aragó, then switch either to the R1, which stops at Badalona station, or to metro line L2 at Clot, which ends at Badalona Pompeu Fabra in the town centre. Allow roughly 50 minutes of travel plus connections, and check current timetables if you land late.
- Is Badalona a good base for sightseeing in Barcelona?
- It can work well. Metro line L2 runs from Badalona Pompeu Fabra, in the town centre, to Sagrada Família and Passeig de Gràcia without a change, and the R1 commuter train also connects Badalona with central Barcelona. If you're staying by the marina, the Port de Badalona and Platja del Coco beach are on your doorstep for evenings by the sea.
