Vilanova i la Geltrú lies about 45 km south of Barcelona Airport, 35–45 minutes on the C-32 past Castelldefels and Sitges. It is the Garraf coast’s quiet alternative: a working fishing port with a live fish auction, Ribes Roges beach, the Railway Museum — among Europe’s best — and one of Catalonia’s strongest carnivals.

- How do I get from the airport to Vilanova i la Geltrú without a car?
- By rail, take the R2 Nord from T2 to El Prat de Llobregat and change there to an R2 Sud train for Vilanova; the stopping services that terminate in Vilanova call at El Prat.
