It is one of the Costa Brava’s liveliest resorts, with a sandy beach over two kilometres long, a shopping avenue packed with stores and a busy nightlife, next to elegant S'Agaró. - Does any bus go straight from El Prat to Platja d'Aro?
- Yes. Moventis Sarfa's Costa Brava Centre coaches run from the airport and Barcelona Nord to Platja d'Aro bus station, calling at places such as Vidreres, Llagostera, Santa Cristina d'Aro, Sant Feliu de Guíxols and S'Agaró on the way. There's no train to Platja d'Aro. Departures aren't frequent, so check the current timetable and whether yours calls at the airport.
- Are S'Agaró and Castell d'Aro the same place as Platja d'Aro?
- They share a municipality – officially Castell d'Aro, Platja d'Aro i S'Agaró – but they're distinct places: Platja d'Aro is the beach resort, S'Agaró the exclusive residential enclave towards Sant Feliu, and Castell d'Aro the original village inland. Because many addresses show only the municipality, double-check which one you're heading to and give the full street address.
