- How do I get to Blanes by train from Barcelona Airport?
- Ride Rodalies R2 Nord from the airport to El Clot-Aragó and change there to the R1 along the Maresme coast. Not every R1 goes as far as Blanes – some terminate at Mataró or Calella – so pick one bound for Blanes or Maçanet-Massanes. Blanes station lies about 2 km from the beaches, with local buses into town. Check the current timetables first.
- Our campsite is by the Tordera river – is it in Blanes or Malgrat?
- It depends on which bank. S'Abanell beach runs from the Sa Palomera rock down to the Tordera, and Blanes' campsites cluster at that end on the edge of town; across the river you're in Malgrat de Mar, which is on the Maresme coast rather than the Costa Brava. Check the address on your booking – the two are close but are separate destinations.
