- Can I get to Begur by public transport from El Prat?
- There's no railway. Moventis Sarfa's Costa Brava Centre coach line starts at the airport, calls at Barcelona Nord and works its way through Sant Feliu, Platja d'Aro, Palamós and Palafrugell before stopping at Plaça Forgas in Begur – a long, multi-stop ride. In summer, the local Bus Platges then links the village with Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Aiguablava and Fornells. Check current timetables.
- We land during Begur's Fira d'Indians – is there anything to bear in mind?
- The Fira d'Indians is held on the first weekend of September, when a market, music and crowds fill the village to celebrate Begur's historic links with Cuba. If your accommodation is in the old centre, expect the driver to stop at the closest practical point rather than your door that weekend. Houses down at the coves or in the hillside developments aren't affected in the same way.
