Calella de Palafrugell lies about 130 km northeast of Barcelona Airport, a 90–110 minute drive on the AP-7 and then the C-31 via Palafrugell. It is one of the prettiest fishing villages on the Costa Brava, with white houses above the water, the arched "voltes" beside the boats and premium coves such as Port Pelegrí and El Golfet, plus the nearby Cap Roig botanical garden. It should not be confused with Calella del Maresme: they are different destinations. We drop you at your hotel or apartment door.

- Can I get to Calella de Palafrugell by bus from Barcelona Airport?
- Not in a single bus. Moventis Sarfa coaches run from El Prat and Barcelona Nord to Palafrugell bus station, where a local circular line continues to Calella and Llafranc. There's no railway on this stretch of coast. With the change, the trip can take around three hours, so check both timetables carefully before you travel.
- We're coming for the havaneres or the Cap Roig Festival – anything to plan for?
- Mainly the crowds. The Cantada d'Havaneres takes place on the first Saturday of July at Port Bo and draws thousands of spectators, while the Cap Roig Festival fills summer evenings in July and August at the gardens above Calella. If you land on one of those days, aim to arrive well before the evening programme and give the driver your exact address.
