FIA WEC 6 Hours of Barcelona 2026: Transfers to Montmeló

Private transfers to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the first FIA World Endurance Championship round in Spain, 16–18 October 2026 — from Barcelona Airport, Sants or your hotel, at a fixed price, with the return pickup agreed before the race.

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Montmeló (Vallès Oriental) 16–18 October 2026 — race on Sunday 18 October at 12:00 · the first FIA WEC round at the circuit

For the first time in its history, the FIA World Endurance Championship comes to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The 6 Hours of Barcelona runs from 16 to 18 October 2026, and the championship calls it the first-ever Spanish round in WEC history. It is the penultimate race of the season, seventh of eight, so it can weigh heavily in the fight for the world titles.

Race-weekend schedule

  • Friday 16 October: Free Practice 1 at 11:30 and Free Practice 2 at 16:30.
  • Saturday 17 October: final practice, qualifying and the Hyperpole shoot-out (times to be confirmed by the championship).
  • Sunday 18 October: the 6 Hours of Barcelona, starting at 12:00.

Times are local and come from the official FIA WEC race page. Check it again in the week before the race, as schedules can change.

Who is racing

Two classes share the track: Hypercar, the top class, and LMGT3. Fourteen manufacturers are entered — Alpine, Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Genesis, Lexus, McLaren, Mercedes, Peugeot, Porsche and Toyota. Local fans have two Catalan drivers to follow: Miguel Molina with Ferrari AF Corse and Dani Juncadella with Genesis.

Why Barcelona, and why 2026

The circuit explains that the race was added as an exceptional round of the 2026 calendar, after the conflict in the Middle East affected two of the races originally planned. Barcelona is not on the 2027 WEC calendar published by the championship. Endurance racing does come back to Montmeló in 2027, though: the European Le Mans Series opens its season here with the 4 Hours of Barcelona on 12–14 March 2027.

Getting to Montmeló for the race

The circuit is 32 km from Barcelona and is reached from the C-17 (Montmeló exit) or the AP-7 (exits 13, 14 and 15). The R2 and R2 Nord trains stop at Montmeló station, and the R2 Nord starts at the airport. At the time of writing neither the championship nor the circuit had published access or parking details specific to this race, so check the circuit website in the days before. A private transfer takes the question away: we drive you from the terminal, Sants or your hotel to the gate that matches your ticket, and pick you up at a point agreed in advance.

The finish: plan the way back

A six-hour race that starts at 12:00 finishes in the early evening, and most of the crowd leaves together. That is when trains fill up and taxis are hard to find. With a pre-booked return, we agree the pickup point and time before the race, and the fixed price does not change with the traffic on the way out. Flying out on Sunday night? Tell us your flight time and we will suggest a pickup time with margin for the AP-7.

Tips for the 6 Hours of Barcelona

  • Book both legs now: it is the first WEC race at the circuit, and demand is hard to predict.
  • Tell us your gate and grandstand so the driver is not caught on a closed road.
  • Groups can share a minivan — cheaper per head than several taxis, and you leave together.
  • We do not sell tickets: buy them from the circuit or the official championship website.
