It is one of the Costa Daurada’s food destinations — its fishing port and seafood cooking set the standard — and a relaxed beachfront next to Salou and PortAventura. - Can I get from Barcelona Airport to Cambrils by train or bus?
- Yes, though not directly by train. Since January 2020 Cambrils has had a new station on the Mediterranean corridor, on Avinguda Charles Darwin next to the sports area and away from the seafront. R16 trains reach it from Barcelona Sants, which you get to on the R2 Nord from T2. Plana also runs coaches from T1 and T2 that stop in Cambrils. Check the current timetables.
- We're staying in Vilafortuny. Is that still Cambrils?
- Yes. Vilafortuny is a residential area of Cambrils stretching east towards Salou, with beach-side neighbourhoods such as Cap de Sant Pere. The rest of the town is spread out too: the port and Regueral beach in the centre, La Llosa and El Dorado to the south-west, and the old town, La Vila, set back from the sea. Give us the full address and we'll drive to the door.
