The Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival is the world’s foremost celebration of genre cinema, and every October it fills the seaside town south of Barcelona with directors, press and film fans. Screenings run from morning to the small hours, so arriving relaxed and settling in quickly matters more here than at most festivals.
Getting to Sitges
Sitges sits about 38 km down the coast from Barcelona airport on the edge of the Garraf massif. By train it means a change in Barcelona and well over an hour and a half with your bags; by car the C-32 gets you there directly. A private transfer runs straight down that road to your hotel door — tolls included in the fixed fare — including the narrow old-town streets where ordinary cabs often will not venture.
Why book door to door
October is a busy month on the coast and the festival concentrates arrivals into a few days. A pre-booked transfer means no taxi queue at BCN and no meter anxiety on a longer, out-of-city run: the price is agreed before you travel and does not change with demand. Because our drivers work 24/7, a late screening or a late flight is never a problem for the ride.
Tips for the festival
- Book ahead — the festival packs arrivals into a short window.
- Staying on a pedestrian street? Send the exact address so we agree the nearest meeting point.
- Late screening tonight? Our 24/7 drivers cover any arrival time.
- Reserve the return to BCN too, especially for an early onward flight.
