QuickPickupsSitges Carnival turns the seaside town on the Costa del Garraf into the biggest winter party in Catalonia: a week of parades, costumes, packed bars and nights that end well after the last train has gone. Carnival 2027 is scheduled for 4–10 February 2027 — check the official programme for the exact parade nights before you fix any pickup times, as they are the busiest of the week.
Getting to Sitges for Carnival
Sitges sits about 38 km south of Barcelona Airport on the edge of the Garraf massif; by road it is the C-32 straight down the coast, roughly 35–50 minutes. The R2 train does not run directly from the airport — you change at El Prat de Llobregat or Sants — and on Carnival days the trains are full and the walk from the station in costume, with bags, is nobody’s idea of fun. A private transfer takes you from the terminal, Sants or your Barcelona hotel to your accommodation in one vehicle at a fixed price, tolls and luggage included, with flight tracking if you land the same day.
Street closures: where we drop you and pick you up
During Carnival several streets in the old town and along the seafront close to traffic, and the pedestrian lanes of the centre are always off-limits to cars. We agree the closest possible drop-off point with you in advance, and for the return an easy-to-find meeting point at the edge of the closed area, a few minutes’ walk from the parade route. Send us the exact address of where you are staying when you book and we sort it out before you travel.
The night return
This is where a pre-booked transfer earns its keep. Ordinary taxis are scarce in Sitges at 2 or 3 a.m. on a parade night, and the fixed price we agree does not change with the hour: our drivers work 24/7. Tell us the time you want to leave, keep your phone charged for the driver’s message, and allow a few extra minutes to reach the meeting point through the crowd.
