Barcelona Wine Week has quickly become the reference trade fair for Spanish wine, bringing wineries, importers, sommeliers and buyers together at the Fira Montjuïc venue. It is a working event — full days of tastings, appointments and meetings — which makes an easy arrival worth planning.
The next edition runs from 8 to 10 February 2027.
Where it happens
The fair fills Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc, around Plaça Espanya, roughly 13 to 15 km and about 20 minutes from Barcelona-El Prat Airport. It is not the Gran Via site in L’Hospitalet that hosts MWC and ISE, so check the venue before you set off. On public transport Montjuïc means the L1 or L3 metro and a walk up through the fairground gates — fine without luggage, tiring with a case of samples.
Why book a transfer
Early February is a busy stretch in Barcelona: in 2027 ISE fills Gran Via from 2 to 5 February, days before Wine Week opens at Montjuïc, so airport demand climbs across both weeks.
A pre-booked transfer fixes the fare before you fly and tracks your flight, and at the end of a long tasting day a pre-arranged pickup is far more welcome than a taxi queue. Groups can share a minivan and travel together.
Tips for Barcelona Wine Week
- The venue is Montjuïc, by Plaça Espanya — not Gran Via. Tell us so we route to the right side of the city.
- Book early; ISE runs at Gran Via days before, and demand carries over.
- Share your flight number so we adjust to any delay.
- After a full tasting day, a pre-arranged return pickup is worth it.
