Sign up to drive with QuickPickups in Barcelona
We are a private transfer company. Bookings reach us already paid, from international agencies and from our own website; you do the driving and we handle the customer, the invoice and the collection. You sign up on the web or in the QuickPickups Driver app, and here is, in writing, what we offer and what we will ask you for.

Get the QuickPickups Driver app
It is now available for iPhone and Android, and it is free. It is where you get your rides and the Market, navigate to the pickup, mark each step of the ride and check your invoices. Rides open up once the office approves your account.
Driver sign-up
Sign up: on the web or in the app
It is one sign-up with two ways in, and it takes about 5 minutes. You can start on your computer and carry on on your phone, or the other way round: with the same email you get back to the same draft, which is saved as you go.
Choose your licence and how you work
Taxi, VTC or minibus, and whether you work on your own account or as an employee of a licence holder. The sign-up then asks only for what applies to you.
Your details, billing and vehicle
Your personal details. If you work on your own account, the certificate showing you hold your bank account and your car details with one photo where the plate is visible. If you are an employee, you choose your licence holder.
Your documents
ID card and driving licence; for taxis, the AMB credential too. The back side is optional and goes inside the same document: two photos or one PDF.
One signature
You check that everything is right and sign once: the contract and the statement that your licences and insurance are in force are signed together. Then you submit your application.
The office reviews it in order of arrival
A person reviews every document and your billing details. If something needs fixing, we tell you what and why, by email and with a notification in the app.
Account approved: the guide and the Market
Once your account is approved, you read and sign the driver guide in the app. After that, the Market opens for you and you start taking rides.
On the web
From your computer or your phone browser. You confirm your email with a code and get started.
In the QuickPickups Driver app
Free on Google Play and the App Store. Open it and tap "Sign up" on the sign-in screen; if you already have it, update it.
Open it on your phone
Scan the code with your phone camera to open this page there and download the app.
If your company or the office has emailed you an invitation, use its link: it already carries your licence and your company. If you start signing up and do not submit it, the draft is deleted after 30 days.

The month after the service, by bank transfer to the IBAN you give us. This is the term written into the contract you sign, not a promise made on this page.
No signup fee, no monthly fee and no exclusivity: you can carry on with your own customers and other platforms.
The passenger has already paid online before getting in the car. You handle no cash, negotiate no prices and never depend on someone carrying money.
No middlemen taking a cut along the way. Jobs are either assigned to you or published in the app for the drivers who meet that trip’s requirements.
And what we will not promise you. We will not tell you how many jobs you will get each month: that depends on the season, your vehicle and your availability. What is fixed in writing is when and how you get paid, and that starting costs you nothing.
What the sign-up asks for
It depends on how you will work. This is exactly what the sign-up asks for, on the web and in the app. Each document is asked for only once: if we already have it, you do not need to upload it.
Everyone
- Spanish ID card (DNI) or NIE
- A valid driving licence (D1 or D for a minibus)
- If you work on your own account, your car details (plate, make, model, year, colour, seats and luggage) and one photo of the car where the plate is visible
- Car papers go with the licence plate: if they are already approved for that plate (for example, your employer uploaded them), you do not need to upload them
- If the car belongs to someone else or is leased, the owner’s ID and their authorisation to use it, or the leasing contract
- One signature at the end: the contract and the statement that your licences and insurance are in force are signed together
- The driver guide is not part of the sign-up: you read and sign it in the app once your account is approved, before you receive rides
Depending on how you work
VTC on your own
VTC card (with its validation date), vehicle registration certificate, valid vehicle inspection (ITV) and insurance, and the certificate showing you hold your bank account (or a screenshot from your bank with the holder and IBAN). You can add your self-employed registration (form 036 or 037) and tax certificate, but they are not required.
Taxi on your own
AMB credential, taxi licence, vehicle registration certificate and the certificate showing you hold your bank account.
Minibus (more than 9 seats)
Passenger CPC (CAP), the vehicle’s VD authorisation, registration certificate, vehicle inspection (ITV), insurance, compulsory passenger insurance (SOV) and the certificate showing you hold your bank account. Up to 9 seats with a driver counts as a VTC.
If you work for another person or company
You only upload what is yours: ID, driving licence and, for taxis, the AMB credential. If your employer already works with QuickPickups, you look them up by their tax ID and ask them to confirm you: the car and payment papers are theirs. If they are not on QuickPickups, you upload on their behalf their ID, the company tax ID if they are a company, their bank certificate and an authorisation signed by them (we give you the template). Their self-employed registration is not required. They get paid once the office has checked it.
Documents are uploaded as a photo or PDF, sharp and in force. The back side is optional and goes inside the same document: two photos or one PDF. Those that expire carry their date, and the app reminds you before they expire so you can upload the renewal. The office checks the payment details one by one and we email you to confirm the IBAN, so nobody can change where the money goes.
However you invoice, it works
All three cases are covered: in the billing step of the sign-up you pick yours and it only asks for the details that apply.
You are self-employed
You invoice us directly. This is the most common case.
You have a company
We invoice your company, and you can register your own drivers.
You are an employee
We invoice your employer's company. You do not need to register as self-employed.
How we work
Waiting time, with a written rule
At the airport you wait up to 60 minutes from the flight landing; at the port and at Sants, 30; at any other pickup, 15. If the passenger never shows up, the no-show fare is paid.
Flights tracked on our side
We track the passenger's flight and adjust the pickup time when it is delayed, so you never turn up at a time that no longer applies.
Fleet authorised by the AMB
We operate with vehicles and licences in order within the Barcelona Metropolitan Area.
