Les Guilleries is a range of oak, chestnut and beech forest between the Montseny massif and the Sau and Susqueda reservoirs, and Sant Hilari Sacalm is its main town, known for its mineral springs. Vilar Rural is built for family holidays: rooms for parents and children together, pools inside and out, a spa, games areas and a farm corner with animals that younger guests tend to visit every day.
A mountain town without a station
Sant Hilari is only about an hour and a half from the airport by road, yet it is awkward by public transport. There is no railway in the town; buses run towards Girona or down to the train at Sant Celoni, and none of them starts at the airport. For a family landing at BCN, that means at least two changes before reaching the resort.
From the plane to the pool
Book a fixed-price transfer from BCN straight to the resort. We track your flight and wait up to 60 minutes free at the airport if you are held up at passport control or baggage reclaim. Child seats are available on request for a small supplement, and the return can be booked at the same time so the last day stays relaxed.
Practical tips
- Tell us the children’s ages and the number of bags and pushchairs when you book.
- Request child seats in advance; they are available on request for a small supplement.
- The resort is on the bypass road (GI-541) outside the centre: book it by name rather than to the town.
- For the return, allow about 1h30 to BCN plus check-in time, and a little more on Sunday evenings.
