Setcases sits at the head of the Ter valley, where stone houses gather around the church and the river and the mountains close in on three sides. Hotel La Coma, in the village, is a family hotel with rooms for two to four people, an indoor pool for cold days and a large garden for summer. In winter it is a base for Vallter 2000; in summer, for walks towards the high Pyrenean cirques.
At the end of the Camprodon valley
The road from Barcelona runs through Vic and Ripoll, then up the valley past Camprodon and Llanars before it reaches Setcases. Public transport stops being practical long before that: no train serves the valley, and the buses that do are infrequent and do not start at the airport. A direct transfer covers the whole route in one go.
Ski weeks and family arrivals
Families flying in for a ski week or a summer break usually land with heavy luggage. Tell us how many bags and how much equipment you are bringing when you book, and we send a suitable vehicle at a fixed price. Your flight is tracked, the driver waits up to 60 minutes free at the airport, and child seats are available on request for a small supplement.
Practical tips
- Mention skis, snowboards or bikes when you book, so the vehicle has room for them.
- In winter the last stretch can be snowy: allow extra time, especially for the return to the airport.
- Arriving late? We work 24/7, but check the hotel’s check-in and dinner times before choosing a flight.
- For the return, the drive to BCN is around 2h10 in normal conditions; add check-in time and a winter margin.
