Integrated Systems Europe — ISE — is the world’s largest exhibition for audiovisual and systems integration, and each winter it brings tens of thousands of installers, manufacturers and integrators to Barcelona. It is a working show: people arrive with tight demo schedules, appointment calendars and, very often, boxes of equipment. That combination makes a smooth airport arrival worth planning.
Where ISE takes place
ISE occupies Fira de Barcelona Gran Via in L’Hospitalet, the same enormous venue that hosts the city’s biggest congresses. It sits close to the airport but far enough from the centre that dragging AV cases through metro changes is nobody’s idea of a productive start. A direct transfer takes you either to your Gran Via hall or to your hotel without a detour.
Why exhibitors book ahead
ISE lands in a busy stretch of Barcelona’s winter congress calendar, so airport demand is already high when the show opens. Booking a fixed-price transfer in advance removes two variables from a stressful travel day: you know the fare before you fly, and you are not standing in a queue while a build-up slot ticks away. Exhibitors carrying screens, cabling or demo rigs can request a minivan or Van XL for the extra boot space.
Tips for a smooth ISE arrival
- Reserve early — the winter congress season keeps cars in demand.
- Travelling with AV gear? Ask for a larger vehicle when you book.
- Give us your flight number so a delay never costs you the slot.
- Book the return leg too; the closing day sees a rush back to BCN.
