The runway and the ground are separated by barely 8 km of road, a drive that takes under 15 minutes outside match-day traffic.
Close on the map, awkward by public transport
That short distance does not translate into a direct connection. There is no metro or train line running straight from the airport terminals to Cornellà-El Prat; the practical public-transport route means heading into Barcelona first and changing onto FGC or metro toward Cornellà Centre or Cornellà-Riera, both a short walk from the ground. For a fan landing with limited time before kick-off, that detour can eat the whole margin.
