PortAventura World is the largest theme park resort on the Mediterranean coast, combining PortAventura Park, the Ferrari-themed Ferrari Land and, through the summer, Caribe Aquatic Park under one ticket system in Vila-seca and Salou, on the Costa Daurada south of Barcelona.
How far it really is from BCN
The resort sits about 100 km from Barcelona Airport, a drive of roughly an hour on the AP-7. There is a dedicated PortAventura train station a short walk from the park gates, but reaching it from the airport still means getting into Barcelona first and changing trains — doable with hand luggage, considerably harder with pushchairs, cases for a multi-day stay and children who have already been travelling since a morning flight.
Why families book a direct transfer
A private transfer removes that change entirely: one vehicle from the airport straight to the park entrance or your resort hotel, with a child seat if you request one when booking. It matters just as much on the way home — after a day on Ferrari Land’s rides or the water slides at Caribe, a direct car beats managing a train change with tired kids, damp swimwear and the day’s souvenirs.
