La Garriga built its reputation as a spa town in the 19th century, when Barcelona’s wealthy families built modernist summer villas around its thermal springs. The Blancafort hotel keeps that tradition alive with a modernist thermal gallery, indoor and outdoor pools and a Roman-style sauna.
Close, but not connected
At around 50 km, this is one of the shorter drives in our hotel-transfer network — but there is no direct public transport from the airport. The realistic route is airport train or Aerobús into Barcelona, then a change onto the R3 Rodalies line to La Garriga, followed by a short walk. Two changes and a walk with spa bags is not most travellers’ idea of a relaxing start to a wellness weekend.
A 45-minute direct drive instead
A private transfer turns that multi-leg journey into a single 45-minute drive, fare fixed before you fly, straight to the hotel entrance. Flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting mean a delayed arrival never turns a short trip into a longer one.
Practical tips
- This route works well even for a short overnight break — the direct drive keeps a one-night spa stay actually relaxing.
- Group of friends booking a spa day together? Share a minivan and split the cost.
- Book the return leg for your departure day so you are not relying on a Rodalies connection to make your flight.
- Share your flight number so we adjust the pickup automatically.
