A meet and greet is the difference between arriving and being received. Instead of stepping out into an unfamiliar terminal and joining the back of a taxi queue, you walk into the arrivals hall and your driver is already there, holding a board with your name. From that moment the trip is handled: bags carried, car a short walk away, and a fixed price already agreed.
Where your driver waits, by terminal
Barcelona-El Prat has two passenger terminals a few kilometres apart, so the meeting point depends on where your flight lands. At Terminal 1 and at Terminal 2 alike, your driver waits in the public arrivals area just after you leave the baggage reclaim, holding a name board. You do not need to find a specific door or car park level — you come out, you see your name, and the rest is our job.
What happens if your flight is late
This is the part a taxi rank cannot offer. We track your flight from departure, so a delay, an early landing or a diversion does not strand you and does not cost you the car. The driver simply adjusts to the real arrival time and is in position when you actually walk out. There is no penalty for a late flight, because the waiting is built into how the service works.
How it differs from the taxi rank
At the rank you queue, you meet the driver only at the front of the line, and the fare runs on a meter you cannot see the end of. With a meet and greet the driver comes to you inside the terminal, helps with the luggage, and the price is fixed before you fly. For a group, a family with children, or anyone arriving late at night, being met by name is calmer and, once you count the waiting and the meter, usually the better value too.
